Cut those stumps back a bit. You don’t need to be on the ground or anything, but the more you cut with the saw, the faster it will sand. I put mine on the left side (facing forward), pointing towards the middle of the steering wheel. I could then clearly see the stump and where I would attack it. The wheels block the view of the rest of the stump, but that doesn’t matter.

Great machine, I done 200 stumps already mostly red pine but sum 40 mixed hardwoods of ash maple oak and hickory. My only problem, and it’s not a fault of the machine is at my age it’s hard to look behind me. It’s a slow process so cut what you can with a chainsaw first but you will be pleased with the job this grinder does!

Just finished my first stump. It was a oak tree. It was 48 inches in diameter. It took me around 6 hours. The stump was cut high. I had to cut pieces off of it not having a large saw. The grinder worked as advertised. You just have to take your time doing the job. I have plenty of stumps to grind. We’ll see how it holds up.

One of the best implements i have purchased for my farm. The stumps I had stopped a lot of my projects. The only issue i have which is not the grinders issue at all. My tractor is a stick shift gear transmission. So going as slow as the tractor will go. Its still way to fast for the grinder. So if you have a hydro or shuttle shift that you can make the tractor move at a crawl very very slow crawl I think most everyone would be happy. I used my loader bucket to inch the tractor

The tractor camera is a must. The pto shaft was very difficult to attach. After many attempts could not get the shaft aligned with the depression in the shaft at the rear. Had to use smaller bolts but seems to work just fine now. Already removed 3 stumps.

What an awesome tool. 12″ oak stumps are ground down to 6″ below the surface in 5 minutes. Bigger stumps take longer but if we take a few inches at a time we can clear pretty much anything.
