I have done 14 stumps so far ranging from 12 inches to 42 inches, pine, oak and beach. If you follow the directions and just use the quarter of the disk by the deflector and do about 2-3 inches per pass you will not have a problem using this.

Received my stump grinder on Oct 31. Product was well packaged and assembly was straight forward as shown on the many you tube videos I had watched. Since receipt I have cleaned up 75+ stumps easily and without issue. I bought the SG24 to remove stumps in our trails and on our firebreaks. I need to be able to run a mower and a landscape rake over these trails to get them ready for Prescribed Burns. You do need to install an RV backup camera to watch the cutter without tweaking your back and neck, but adequate ones are inexpensive on Amazon. The grinder was packaged well, and is built from heavy steel. My tractor is a little underpowered at 13.9hp but even so this grinder chewed through 9 stumps, some alive, some dead, averaging 10″ diameter in less than 3 hours. Make sure your 3 point chains are snugged up so the grinder doesn’t swing side to side and ease your way through the stumps. I love this attachment!!

The unit is well made and I assembled it without trouble. Good to supply hand tools for assembly. Hard to find bushings to fit my John Deere imatch unit. Most were too short. Eventually got ones I made work from local tractor dealer. As soon as it stops raining I¡¯ll try it out.

Standard hook up had to cut 3¡± off the Mechmaxx PTO shaft (as recommended by mechmaxx) .
The grinder has been great so far and the 1025r has 19hp at the shaft so I had to adjust the slip clutch accordingly.
Plenty of power and capability just take it slow and steady.

Well built. Make sure you use loctite when assembling. Use shipping bolts and lock nuts to replace pivot pin bolts, grease bearings and U-joints. Loosen the slip clutch springs up, engage pto 2 or 3 times, then adjust springs to 1.25 inches. Cut from the left side of the grinder. Very happy with it

I don’t really use it to grind stumps. The roots of trees that grow right up out of the ground are hard to deal with. I use this stump grinder to cut them back down below the surface of the grass. I think it’s a a great tool, the only problem I had on my first use was the carbide cutters loose ed up. Two completely ejected from the flywheel and two others had the lock nuts back out to allow those cutters to be out of position. I stopped one I noticed I had to tighten up almost all the others. But when it works, it works well.

I had looked at the stump grinder several times and always thought it might not work as good on my 1023e. It works great. You will need to cut the pto shaft about 3¡± if you don¡¯t have a quick hitch to take up the extra length. Cutting the shaft is easy. Angle grinder and cut off wheel. Mark the shaft and cut. For the safety guard I used a 10¡± miter saw.

I had a little trouble with a tooth coming loose almost right away even though I checked them before operating and it wallowed out a hole a little bit. I hadn’t even ran for a half hour which I know it states to check it I believe every hour if in siteing my memory correctly. I’ll just have to check more often. Otherwise it’s a beast and performs better then expected. Very

Received mine on August 27 and took a couple day to get to it but got it all hooked up and the camera wouldn’t work so called them and they sent another one and it works good
I am very happy with this little grinder work fantastic on soft wood and a little slower on hardwood but no complaints here

Started using it today. So far I love it. Shipped really secure as to not get damaged. My only complaint is as with many on YouTube is that one leg won’t retract up into the unit so I have to take both legs off and then put them back when I’m done. Seems like a solid piece of equipment. 👍

Several months ago I purchased the 3 point stump grinder and I encountered some minor problems with the backup camera. The staff jumped through the hoops to get me up and running!
